Missions Trip to the Dominican Republic
Our Project Ruth facilities are located in La Florida, a beautiful mountain community northeast of San Juan de la Maguana, where you’ll have the opportunity to serve alongside local residents and make a lasting impact.
Accommodations
Our mission compound features comfortable housing for teams of up to 16 people, including:
- 4 private rooms with twin-over-full bunkbeds (accommodating 2 people each)
- 1 larger room with 4 twin bunkbeds
- Full kitchen and dining area for team meals and fellowship
- Medical clinic for community health outreach
- Church/community center for worship and community events
What's Included - $800 Per Person
(Airfare not included and hotel is double occupancy)
- Transportation: Round-trip airport transfers from Santo Domingo (SDQ) and all in-country travel
- Meals: All meals during your stay, plus community meals you’ll share with local residents
- Water: Safe, filtered water throughout your stay
- Accommodations: Housing at Project Ruth facilities and hotel near airport
- Support: Dedicated trip coordination to ensure a memorable experience

Sample 8-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Saturday: Arrival & Welcome
- Airport pickup in Santo Domingo
- Travel to La Florida facilities

Day 2 – Sunday: Worship & Community

- Team reflection time
Days 3-6 – Monday-Thursday: Ministry & Service
- Daily Vacation Bible School programs
- Community outreach activities
- Arts & crafts with local children
- Construction or medical projects (as planned)
- Evening fellowship and movie nights
Day 7 – Friday: Reflection & Rest
- Morning wrap-up at facilities
- Travel to Santo Domingo
- Relaxation day and hotel stay

Five Decades of Faithful Ministry
George and Rashel Martin are devoted leaders and passionate servants of God, with over 50 years of combined service within the Assemblies of God Fellowship. Throughout their journey, they have faithfully served in nearly every area of ministry, from cleaning and outreach to youth leadership, preaching, choir, and missions. Their hands-on approach and heart for people reflect a true commitment to the Body of Christ.
Your Leaders on the Field
Today, they continue to serve as board members at their local church in Abaco, Bahamas, where they remain deeply devoted to advancing God's Kingdom. The Martins share a deep passion for Project Ruth and its mission to spread the Gospel and demonstrate Christ's love in practical, transformative ways. They feel called to serve through this ministry as an extension of their lifelong commitment to reaching the lost and strengthening the Body of Christ, both in their local community and around the world.
Hearts for Family and Mission
Beyond their formal ministry roles, George and Rashel are respected professionals in their community. They treasure their blended family of six children, three sons and three daughters, and share a love for travel, especially when it means reaching the lost for Christ. With a deep sense of calling and a heart for the harvest, they are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission.
