This seminar aims to provide both a theoretical framework and a practical guide for understanding and effectively engaging in political chaplaincy. It explores the delicate balance between political allegiance and broader community service, examining ethical dilemmas and offering insights into effective pastoral care strategies. The Bahamian context serves as a rich case study, allowing us to examine the historical interplay of religion and politics, while simultaneously offering transferable lessons for similar contexts around the globe.
Jonathan had the privilege of leading a transformative Political Chaplaincy Training in Nassau, Bahamas, for the PLP Chaplains on May 31, 2025, empowering them to drive positive change. The seminar material came from his new book, Politics and Chaplaincy in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The 25 chaplains in attendance enjoyed a great time of interaction. Please keep this initiative in your prayers. God Bless!
